Dr. Kneavel is a traditionally trained clinical psychologist who received a masters degree from Loyola College, Baltimore and his Ph.D. from the university of Ottawa in 1979. He has held clinical leadership positions at Terry Children's Psychiatric Center, Meadowood Hospital, Christiana Care's First State School and Christina School District. Dr. Kneavel spent seven years as adjunct faculty at Jefferson Medical College.
He has been in private practice in Wilmington, Delaware Since 1981 and treats children, adolescents and adults. Areas of special interest that he has presented nationally on include Treating Oppositional Defiant Children, Students with Behavioral Issues and Sexual Victims and Sexual Perpetrators. He is presently working with the United Spine Center in Bear, Delaware with a focus on pain management and trauma from accidents.
He has held various leadership positions including President of the State Board of Professional Examiners of Psychology; Chaired the Developmental Disabilities Planning Council, and held various leadership positions in professional organizations. He has been listed in Who's Who in America for the last decade. He currently chairs the Board of the National Graduate School of Quality Management in Falmouth, Mass. He maintains a limited practice in Wilmington, Delaware.
